Hey Will,
Yeah, I came into buying the Digitranslator with the same mindset that you mentioned, that OMFs are a bit out-of-date and that AAfs are the way to go. Unfortunately, DP responds to both in exactly the same way (same crash scenario as my first post). The deciding factor, for now, between the two, is that when the audio files get dupllicated with the OMF transfer their names are duplicated as well. With AAFs, they are simply named "Audio 1", "Audio 2", etc. I would much rather work with the first option. Like I said before, I'm able to work just fine, I just wish that I didn't have to make DP rescan it's plug-ins every time that I open an OMF. The strange thing is that it doesn't seem to be caused by the actual plug-ins but instead by the scan file itself... I've got a feeling that maybe an OS update (10.4.6 is where I'm at now) or the upgrade to DP 5.1 might straighten this out. I've just got too many pending projects at the moment to make the move...
I would love to get PT command bindings from you! Very generous of you to offer especially considering that it must have been a lot of work for you to compile them. I'll contact directly...
Thanks!
New guy says "Hello!" and asks for help...
