Guys,
Could not expect so much sympathy when starting this thread.
I just hope somebody at MOTU reads this and sees that within one day a handfull of users are complaining about international distribution.
There's more than the USA market!!!
Thank you all, and let's see when we all have our copy!

The importer wrote last week to say "Expect to receive copies soon", but hasn't replied to my emails requesting a purchase.
Hmmm ...
MOTU should ensure it's distributors are serious professionals.
Hi Alan, you should have it by now no? Got mine last week when you wrote your original post. It totally rocks! The 6 new VI's are very, very impressive. Talk about bang for your buck! There's a patch you can download straight away from MOTU which seems to fix a fair bit. I love DP! Still use PT's regularly, but this app s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s me!

There are also some great dealers here in the U.S. that could get you a copy in a hurry. Sweetwater Sound is great one. Also, audiomidi.com. It's a shame that you are held hostage to a lame distributor in your country.
With MotU tech support online and Unicornation.com, who really cares where you buy your software as long as you buy it. If your local distributor is lacking buy it from another one.

Well, at least it's encouraging to hear some folks in Oz have got theirs!
But, I've been trying to call Major Music Wholesale for a week ... I keep getting a private answer machine!
And, I've double-checked the phone number
So, I've sent them a series of emails, both directly to the salesman and to their "info" line off the web site: no answer!
I'm confused.
I'll try again, but this is very poor service IMHO. I hope it's not a precursor to the kind of support DP users in Oz can expect from this new distributor.

Yeah, they're not really a retailer, but a reseller. So they're not often manning the store I think. Perhaps all the first batch were pre-ordered (I had pre-ordered mine) and they've sold out? Not sure mate... I can't wait for the Ethnic Instrument though... looks like a cracker!

It's here!!!
It's installed.
It WORKS!!!!
No problems: sounds clearer, I'm sure (or is that just the excitement of a new toy?). Fonts are better.
Quicker.
Now to play with the new instruments.
Happy at last.

I can't say about other European countries but as far as France goes it is French customs administration that's often responsible for the delays UMD have to put up with. But it's coming here soon. Get your wallets ready
