YOUR SUGGESTED FIX - an update

Post by wildrecording »

Greetings,

Thought I'd post an update.

After following these instructions to the letter, I'm happy to report that things seem to be improving in a number of significant ways. I'm now hearing virtually no crackling using the ASIO drivers (latest version, btw), and when accessing the asio control panel from within my multi-track software of choice, I no longer crash while returning to the program.

I guess I should add that I used the word virtually for a reason. I did have to boost the sample rate to 2048 before I could pronounce my recordings crackle-free. Since I don't use live input for anything (at present), I guess I'm okay with this. (Not sure this would affect Live Input anyway.)

The Bottom Line? Simply this: Thank you so, so much for your efforts in tracking down a fix, your expertise in general, and for your generous willingness to share it here.

Bless you!

John

Hi guys.. I have problems with my 2 daisychained 828MK2‘s..

I was going to try this fix, but my non tech brain thinks this is heavy work..

Can someone make a short version of how to use this fix? I am running a windows XP service pack 2 right now.

I downloaded the zip with the files in this thread. If someone can post the easiest and quickest way to make the necessary changes.

Im even prepared to do a paypal to the one that posts the short and sweet way and makes my system work! :D

Thank you.
