Networking doesn't bother my setup at all. In fact, I have DP open in the background at the moment, because I was testing custom consoles for another post. I do that quite often--leave DP open while I check my mail or check the forum. No problem, though I'm more careful when working for someone else and getting paid.

Except if you don't own an MTP!

Today while recording 1 audio track in auto punch mode, I could not stop the recording.
I hit spacebar, 3 key and a bunch of other keys.
When it finally reached the punch out point (20 bars later), it stopped.
This has never happend before.

O.K. I guess DP5 is not ready for prime time, at least on my system.
The odd thing is, 4.61 was running perfectly, no crashes, no hiccups.
I'm talking 9 months of jaw dropping reliability.

O.K. I'll wait for 5.71.
I've seen that too but failed to report it. I thought it was my space bar, bu tit worksfine asyouc anseehere .

Waterstrum, did you have another window active? Like say, Groups or something? Sometimes the key commands don't work in every window. I'm hoping that is fixed in DP5, but I haven't tested it.

I've completed one song in DP5, in which I used serveral of the new VI's to experiment (+ 1 SampleTank 2.1 instance). Also recorded some voice and some guitar.

As I was nearing completion, and wanted to do some small audio overdubs, any attempt to record audio crashed DP5.

Freezing MIDI tracks worked fine.

Haven't gotten to the bottom of the problem (I settled for the way things were). Everything else went fine.

In my case I was in the control panel or tracks window. Transport crapped out. Period.

My copy of DP5 is due to arrive today hope fully if I set every thing up right it will run fine 8) .
To be fair this happens with almost every major peice of software that is ever released. OS X ususally comes out with a .1 update a month or so after the initial release. Same for major revisions of photoshop.

It seems to be the nature of the beast. I've got my DP on order, should have by early next week. Hopefully I won't have any showstopping bugs but only time will tell.
