On that same page where you teared out the registration form...it should have another set of the serial numbers printed on it. And don't forget you have to go back to your original (first) manual you got when you purchased DP in order to find the serial number...or unless you wrote it down somewhere.billf wrote:MOTU always tears out the entire serial number page from my manuals, so only they know the number.emulatorloo wrote:Now, where did I put my damn serial number?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????

I can't find my serial number! I tore the whole page out of DP 3 and have NO idea where my serial number is. Man, what a bummer, I had my credit out and ready to go. Anyone know any other way to find out a serial number?
There isn't any serial number on my manual for DP 4.5

Just give Motu a call or email them...they'll have your info in their database for sure.mcevilley wrote:I can't find my serial number! Plus that little sticker with the numbers on the back of the manual is not the serial number...it's the key code. That's what I put in at first but they wouldn't accept it.

I guess that's what I'll have to do. I just didn't want to wait until tomorrow to order! Dunno, those audio editing tools look nice -- they would speed things up for me.TheHopiWay wrote:I'll most likely wait for the reports. <snip> My work is straight old school audio.
With that in mind and 4.61 running solid I'll need some incentive/optimization to upgrade.

I am hoping for some improvement in the effects plug-ins, but since there is no mention, probably not gonna happen.

My first manual was at DP3 so I'm not sure about DP2. But I noticed that the serial number was only included in my first manual. I only ripped out the registration form and kept the rest of the page intact....thankfully.Frodo wrote:I even looked at my old DP2 manual and there was nothing.
The was it the serial or the keycode that used to appear in OS9 under "About DP"? This feature is conspicuously absent in OSX.
Man, I don't have any serial number. As far as I tell, there wasn't even a perforated front page to my manual.iMAS wrote:My first manual was at DP3 so I'm not sure about DP2. Guess I'm calling tomorrow too.

Ordered mine about an hour ago. I've been over there looking at all the new features. They've got nice animations that give you a good feel for what it's going to be like.
Nothing about bug fixes, etc. One has to assume. Or does one? We'll see soon enough.
Thank goodness the waiting is over. Now... I hope I don't have to buy a new computer to run it. Still galloping along on my dual 1GHz G4 Quicksilver. It's really doing well, all things considered.

I don't remember either.iMAS wrote:You know what the strange thing is...I don't remember having to use the serial number when upgrading to 4.5. Do you ?chrispick wrote: Man, I don't have any serial number. As far as I tell, there wasn't even a perforated front page to my manual.

I keep all registration info (including email communications), so I'm surprised it's not among my stuff. Of course, maybe I never received one if the same situation's popping up with other registered folk.
Anyway, I ended up ordering without the serial number like Rcory did. I got an email comfirmation saying it'll be processed soon and if there are problems MOTU will contact me. I shot them an accompanying email with my contact/product info, so hopefully everything will get sorted.
