Wow. Some great work here. I've managed to listen to everyone's stuff so far. Coming from a non-pro app (Cakewalk Project 5) I'm really quite blown away at how amazingly professional these songs sound. But then I suppose that stands to reason since all of these songs have apparently been mixed/mastered profesionally by you guys. What a joy it is to hear them.
Any of the above tracks mixed/mastered completely within DP?
And by the way what a wonderfully friendly forum! Thank you! Can't wait for my DP5/Intel/Apogee Ensemble set up so I can do what you guys do!

The tracks on the Ted Eddison record were the last to be recorded at the big room at Bearsville Studios. They were mixed 100% in DP by me and then professionally mastered at Classic Sound by Joe Lambert before he went to Trutone. All tunes were 24/48 and at least 16-24 tracks. DP didn't flinch. Not once.

Mcevilley,
How's LA these days? I used to be your neighbor. I lived right behind the Peterson automotive museum on Wilshire for a long time. Ever hang out at Molly's on Fairfax?
BTW, your stuff is sick man. Is what you have listed as your gear your whole set-up?: G5 dual 2.7 w/8gigs of RAM/ 10.4.3/ DP4.61 Mach V etc. Waves Renaissance Bundle/UAD-1/Pluggo/AutoTune

BGTD,
Thank you much -but no UAD were used. Mostly Renn bundle, outboard Avalon, stock MOTU, and a bit of Amplitube.

yeah, it's fun, though i fear this could be turning into an ego massage for everyone
click on the link to my site if you want - it's all done in dp (recorded, mixed, MIDI, audio, programme, etc). the only thing not doen was notation for any of the parts - that was done in sibelius.
click on the downloads section. (though think it might be a bit wonky on pc's at the moment...) don't judge me!

L.A.'s cool. Sure, I've definitely hung out at Molly Malone's on Fairfax. I've seen some really good bands there.BGTD wrote:Mcevilley,

The setup I have listed is pretty much everything, except I now have the Waves SSL plugs, which I love and use on everything. Outside the box I have a few pieces of gear that aren't listed. Mainly, Neve 1272 pre's, Tubetech Compressor, Apogee PSX-100 converters and a Neumann TLM 103. That's the stuff I mainly use.
Good luck with DP, I'm sure you'll love it.
DP 9.52, Max OS 10.11, Mac Pro (early 2008), 2x2.8 dual quad core.
