Thanks, James. That’s a good deal on a nice verb for those times you need a huge ambience.
Yeah... $30... I'm going to go get it now. I might as well as it's really useful when you want that particular mood/sound. It's a one trick pony I guess, but it's a good trick.
Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE $39.99

I know this is a long in tooth VI, but KVR has it on sale for $40 essentially and I went for it as I had been using the old version of Philharmonik CE that was 32 bit and limping along with 32 Lives. I figure for $40, I'll be able to continue to use this on an M1 Mac when I finally get one. Not the greatest, but cheap for $40.
This is at audioplugin.deals. I didn't really expect to get this, but I had some extra coin burning a hole in my pocket and so I took a chance on this steel string virtual guitar strumming VI and found it seems pretty good for the money. Easy to use and sounds okay. Seems like if you put some compression on it to even it out between chord changes and maybe a little stereo widening, etc. it would be quite useful. Don't know that it would fool a critical listener when it's all by itself, but in a mix seems fine.
(It also comes with a bonus free VI right now called Halo Lite)
Word of warning when installing... the installer will prompt you if you want to install the 2.8GB sample content somewhere else, but it doesn't seem to let you choose a different disk during installation. You can get around it by just letting installer instal in default location on your start up disk. (You may need to restart your Mac also for the AU version to be recognized.) Launch DP, then the plug, and authorize it. Unfortunately I couldn't find any utility menu in this plug in order to choose a new location for the content. So... uninstantiate the plug and quit DP...
Then... move the content folder to your external samples drive and rename the original content folder to something else so the plug can't find it. Then launch DP, open the plug and you'll get a dialog asking you where the content is... navigate to the content at the new location and select the file that ends with ".blob" and from then on you should be good and can delete the old content.
Just played around with this a bit and used the "Doubling" setting in the VI and it honestly sounds pretty decent.

On checkout,it offered four freebies — so I added all four. Only downloaded Tridon so far but I'll get to the others soon enough.
I was able to figure out how to select another install folder but it's only 2.8GB. You have to know where it is. After restart, a plug loaded into DP. When I created the Instrument track and found UJAM Amber, it made me go looking for the blob file—when I found that, it let me authorize. More complicated than necessary but I've seen worse just in the last few days.
MUZE PA Tridon is 24GB and has a Blüthner 2 plus a few other goodies so I'm looking forward to that, Don't believe the $99 discount as it's $19.99 on their web site—free is better, though! Requires the full version of Kontakt. https://www.muze.shop/en/index.php?rout ... uct_id=119
Well, Audioplugin.deals sent me a download link to MUZE PA Hermes instead. Ooops! I'm sure it's an ok Schimmel VI but a) not a fan and b) anytime I need one, there's a Schimmel in the church where I work.
I sent a note to the address in the download email and received a swift reply with the correct link to Triton. Nice, I'm good.
Of course, this caused me to check out MUZE. I see that they have a Steinway A. Ok, I don't really expect it to sound like Floyd Cramer's A in Nashville's Studio B (which I have played) but I can dream, right? Do I want to spend $20 to find out? "Crazy… doo, doo, doo…" (yep, that piano). https://www.muze.shop/en/index.php?rout ... uct_id=118
Cherry Audio Galactic Reverb $19 intro price

This is an interesting reverb that I guess was taken out of one of Cherry Audio's VIs. Normally $29. On sale now for intro price of $19. I have been trying the demo and it seems very similar to Eventide Blackhole that's on sale now for $29, so might be a little redundant if you already have Blackhole.
My go-to when I want a natural sounding room is on sale @ $69. Back when Eventide was offering freebies, one of them was 2016 Stereo Room—if you snagged that, the upgrade to SP2016 is $29.
It’s great for turning living room demos into small concert halls or making a group of phone-in tracks sound like a church. This is an extreme example when I was going for a cathedral. SP2016 in the Vintage Stereo Room setting 50% wet on the Master only. Normally, I use 30% with this choir.

Nice. I actually already own that one. I'll have to remind myself to give it a try more often.
