ZED SED:
zed wrote:My suggestion to you, if you can wait, is to hold off until an upcoming eSoundz Group Buy. Squid's has been talking about a Mellotron Group Buy, and including a Tron Volume 2. He may even do something with IK to get you SampleTron plus all the extra Tron sounds not included in SampleTron for a ridiculously low price. I know that he had said previously that most of the content in Volume 1 was included in SampleTron, but that there was a bunch of additional Tron stuff which did NOT get included in SampleTron. So if you hold off, you could get it ALL of it for a really good price sometime soon. I wouldn't be surprised if that Group Buy showed up before the end of the year.

ARGH ! couldn't wait: went back to SampleTron Demo (at zed's recommendation, true...)
and programmed such a cute stereo flute with 2 different delays and eq's, (Chamberlain and Melotron) that I lost my self control.
Found SampleTron
on Amazon
For One-Four-Nine
. . . bought it with account bonus points.    :D
But I'm a happy man.

That's great news, RA!! I got my order in Tuesday and got the confirmation e-mail yesterday. The downloads will start going up Friday (tomorrow). I'm really looking forward to this-- what a great deal it was, too.

Yes, Studiophonik is going to be interesting! I sure am a fan of Philharmonik.

Has anyone who got in on the group buy gotten any of their download links yet? I got an e-mail that said everything would be ready to download by Friday (3 Oct), but there's nothing to download. Neither do I see my free IK plugin on my IK download page. However, I did get a serial number for it.

Maybe Monday?

Hi Frodo

The download system seems a little messy and not particularly clear. Anyhow try looking in 'sounds' or 'sounds download' in your ik user area. That's where I found my free Sampletank download. As far as the studiophonik downloads, a fellow named 'Squids' who has run this GB said that the downloads are delayed till early next week and he's going to spread them out... cumulatively, I assume.

I'm sure Squids will end up being kosher..

Thanks, Brett!

I checked my esoundz download area again and it shows the group buy, but it said "no downloadable products" next to it. Earlier in this thread (or in some recent PM from someone; RA? can't remember) someone mentioned that the group buy would be possibly be extended until the 6th. That means that the buyers are increasing in number-- getting closer to that magic 300, which means the free Studiophonik upgrade could become a reality. The number is up to 281 so far. More than thirty people bought in since I did. Pretty nice!

Hmm-- I wonder if IK has my plugin ready to go... Just checked. Not yet.

That's okay. I'll wait.

The GB has been extended, but the downloads from the esoundz area will start next week. And the free upgrade number was lowered so everyone will get it. Also there are some extra gigs of samples being added. It's taking on a Ronco deal of the day feel..'but wait, there's more..this Rickenbacker slices through the densest arrangements like this hot knife through butter!!'

Is that cool or what? Even more worth the wait. Glad I got in on it. 8)

Today's the last day of the group buy if anyone wanted to get in on it :) If you were thinking of buying one of the plug ins offered with StudioPhonik it's like getting StudioPhonik for free :)

I just downloaded the first of the Studiophonik sounds (drums), and am eagerly waiting for more. I chose Amplitube Metal as my freebie, but I ordered Sampletank 2.5L anyway since I could get it for $99. It should arrive before the end of the week if all goes well.

You Metal Head! :) That's what I chose also! Install it and turn it up to 11! 8)

Yeah-- I'm going to check it out later tonight. I think that completes my IK guitar and bass sims-- unless they release another one!

Speaking of 11, I thought I should have Metal since UA appears to have dropped support for Nigel on the UAD-2 card. I'd like get that one day, but I'm out of slots-- so UAD-1 stays until I can rebuild my Nigel tones. I'm a little concerned that UA might try to pull Nigel from the UAD-1 as well. I'm not sure about that, but dropping Nigel for the UAD-2 came as a shock.
