For 24 more hours Ghosthack has a collection of 100 royalty-free "Whoosh" sounds for only $7.85 US. I bought them without hearing them for that price. What the heck...
The demo is kind of fun. They are all kind of similar. They all seem like variations of a "passing by" whoosh of noise with a breathy sound layered in, and some reverb. I imagine those kinds of effects are trickier to make then their brevity might suggest.

Yeah... I finally listened to the 30 second audio demo that only had maybe 15 or so examples and it wasn't anything fantastic, but I had $7.85 burning a hole in my pocket I guess.

It would be a fun afternoon project to layer/pan some good VI synths and found-sounds or sound fx; and make some swoosh/crescendo "events". It's been a while since I've used that reverse reverb trick (i.e., reverse the track, print big reverb, unreverse track & reverb).
Eventide T-Verb $69 (normally $249)

I feel my pocket about to get lighter. I'm such a sucker for reverb plugs and this one looks pretty interesting. Compatible with MacOS 10.9+ and requires iLok account but no dongle. I suspect this is gonna be really nice for drums and also a guitar room.

Yea… I've been looking at TripleVerb for years but $69? I don't ever expect to resurrect the Heros effect but the demo does show how good it is on other things.
Ok, ok, no need to twist my arm. They have my AMEX on file.
One thing I really like about Eventide is that you don't have to log in to download updates for purchased plug-ins. I just check my installed versions against the complete list found here: https://www.eventideaudio.com/downloads/

Mike... I'm so sorry. I meant to reply to your post and because of my Admin status I accidentally edited it and replaced your post with my reply... which I then deleted. Ugh... I'm so sorry.

It happens. In this case, I still had the window open on my other Mac so I copied, hit Edit and pasted.

I see Melda Production is selling their MTurboAmp for $20 (introductory price). Maybe it goes up to $99, but will be offered at half-price every so often.
I can't vouch for how good it is, compared to all the other amp modelers there are out there. Seems very tweakable, with its deep editing options. The videos give a decent idea of what it does. Of course, you'll want a cab sim or IR loader after the amp. I use Fog Convolver (because I already have it.)

For anyone who was wondering how long the sale price is good on Tverb, etc. I wrote an email to Eventide and was told that the sale is through the summer, ending August 31st. That took the pressure off me as far as doing the demo. I already blew it and missed the deadline for the PSP Xenon $39.99 deal. Ugh. In the past, I've actually emailed Antonin and asked for an extension (which has worked), but I don't want to keep doing that. I'll have to wait for the next one.

Hey James,
If you didn’t know, PSP has a 40% off sale until June 26, and it can be combined with the discount for existing customers.
(I’m a big fan of Xenon - it’s my go-to limiter.)

I saw that. Still not as good as the flat $39.99 sale on Xeon.
