Are there supposed to be any presets for the PulseTEch EQ? I don't see any...

BTW, I do believe the offer is ended. I didn't see it when searching for the presets.

funny thing about presets-- maybe this is a quirk on my system.

I'm on 10.6.1 with DP6.02. Not only are there no presets, I can't even SAVE my presets.

I'm going to install these in 10.5.8 to see what happens.

Now that I've tried saving, it will only save one preset and doesn't place it in the user folder. One time I clicked on the user folder and got a lost of my recent files and selecting any of them had no effect (no pun intended).

Maybe this is why they were so inexpensive? This is not looking so much like a great deal at the moment...

Nope. Can't save presets in any plug in that package. I've written to Don'tCrack and await their response.

Looks like it works over here on my 5.13 10.5.6 system...all the presets are there.

OK, got it. Same problem some people are having with other plugs.

The permissions (from get info) were set very strange. I set them ALL to "READ AND WRITE" and the presets all appeared. Not only that, but when I save a preset now, it goes into the USER folder and starts to form a list of presets as I save them... you know, the way it's supposed to work!

I'll repair permissions again (I don't think I did after this install) and see how it works on the other presets. If I have to go in and manually set the permissions it's not the end of the world, but I really am concerned that the folder permissions an ALL LEVELS are not set correctly in the first place.

Bottom line, however, is that the problem is fixable.

Frodo??

Show off! :) Seriously, it is some weird thing with permissions in folders. I had a similar problem with Finale a while back and some other VI. I know some people have similar problems so I'm guessing it's the OS rather than the installed software.

The thing to do is not to contact Don't Crack. Contact Nomad Support. Here's what they told me, re: DP6.02 and 10.6.1:
Nomad wrote:That's not normal,

Delete the presets folders:

Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Nomad Factory: delete the
Plug-ins Settings folder and re-install using the installer.

NOTE: before try to repair your disk permissions:
Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility

When ready, select your hard disk and click 'Repair Disk Permissions'

Then restart your machine.
My afternoon was spent practicing piano (a real piano for a change!). I'll get to this workaround this evening. I'll also get these things into 10.5.8 since none of my critical work has migrated to SL as of yet.

It seems it doesn't work in SL?

MLC, appears like you still have a OS issue with your permissions.

I demoed the pack... to late to purchase now :x But I had the faint feeling of a placebo effect.

The eq's sounded great, though I didn't get to check phase responses, they had the volume thing to seem like it was better: louder seems to sound better initial response.
EVERYTHING WAS LOUDER, when you set the gain down, it didn't seem to really have much effect.....though the HF did have a interesting response. To me the HF is what makes the differnce in a quality EQ plug.

I didn't have much time to play with it however...just sayin'

Are you all looking in the right place for the presets? They're in the middle of the plugin window, at the top. It's a nice interface; click the arrows on the left or right to scroll through presets rapidly, or click on the pop-up list to navigate to the particular one you want.

Mine are all there, but I was looking in the wrong place for them for the first half hour or so.
