Great I'm sure he's right.... whatever. Tell you what. How about the people that would like to have a forum where complaining and and whining over and over about the same things start one up for themselves. I suggest you reserve the domain soon. How about BITCHABOUTMOTU.COM? You can start it up and then go over there and have a little party over there and quit dragging down this board. In fact, I may set one up for you and then you can go there. Or perhaps I'll create the "Bitching & Moaning" forum so I can segregate these "special contributions" to this board to a place worthy of them.

Re: Any news on 6.02?
how about a forum that is totally unbiased and tells motu how it is? remember the story about motu with no clothes on ? sorry i mean the emperor
dont shoot the messenger - perhaps the reason this comes up again and again is that a lot of people want it..
if a small company like audiofinder can put up info about what they fixed ( lets not talk goliaths like digidesign -)
just an honest opinion -
i wouldnt be where i am now if it wasnt for dp - which is awesome right now - just a few minor fixes
the reason we repeat is because we care and want motu to kick some A$$!
i personally cant wait for 6.02 - i hope they read this board as much as we try to give them input... time will tell? i suspect that - they do as some points made here - ( preference for all plugs in real time etc have been responded to...
complain criticise and compliment them...

Gee... and you think we don't have that HERE? You're obviously not reading the board. What I'm tired of is people who have nothing more to contribute than "piling on" and more negativity. Seriously... read the board. You must be joking. There is more complaining here and more griping about what is wrong with MOTU than you can find time to read.martian wrote:how about a forum that is totally unbiased and tells motu how it is? remember the story about motu with no clothes on ? sorry i mean the emperor.
Again, if you want to start a forum that is biased toward complete and total hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth, I suggest starting one, but to say this forum is not unbiased is ridiculous.

Where exactly is that?martian wrote:i wouldnt be where i am now if it wasnt for dp...
Well, misery loves company James, but it's not just that. Criticism can be constructive (I know you know that). It's also a matter of how you couch comments. It's called constructive criticism - at least as far as the FOCUS of THIS board is concerned. This board exists (and I assume the intent of Mr. Steel initially was) to SUPPORT users of MOTU products. Of course there are things that can be improved and/or don't work as expected - or at all - and these can be aired and addressed here without any fear of trepidation. You'll also get some of the best tech support you'll ever see right here in these pages (so long as you have a manual handy and aren't too lazy to open it for yourself).James Steele wrote:...What I'm tired of is people who have nothing more to contribute than "piling on" and more negativity.
As an added bonus, you'll also find a bunch of other stuff that has nothing to do with MOTU or even music. Of course, once a thread goes o/t or a poster goes 'troll' on us, all bets are off and the crits will fly in all directions.

It goes without saying (but I'll say so anyway) that James has done a miraculous job in keeping the board professional and disciplined. He is much more tolerant that I would be in a similar position and more tolerant than many other private boards are in terms of putting up with negativity and insulting posts. So once again, thanks James.

I think this was really uncalled for. Someone says they think MOTU should be more in touch with their customers..I agree...and then this?

Your talking about policy of the company and this site has nothing to do with MOTU except we are all users of their products. OK, sometimes a MOTU employee will jump in to help - and even leave their MOTU email address to contact them directly (Dave's not here right now

OK, sometimes a MOTU employee will jump in to help - and even leave their MOTU email address to contact them directly (Dave's not here right now ). Again, we are here TO HELP EACH OTHER. Not to praise or bury MOTU - so I agree with James' view that this isn't the place. It's a little like smoking in the non-smoking section. Sure you can do it. Keep at it and you get booted. So I guess it comes down to what's more important to you? Getting help from this board or continue yelling at the sky?
I,m really sorry..I did not think either my nor tripit's statements were that traitorous.I did not view his as trying to bring down the house. I have been following this site for a long time, and my simple agreement to wishing MOTU would stay more in touch with its customers was certainly not intended to bring down the country from within. If this is not the right place, then I appologize...but I kind of thought it was.
