Hey grimepoch, I had almost the exact same problem with QuickTime and my 896HD that MOTU tech support helped me resolve. Check out this thread and see if that works for you. Mostly it has something to do with Logic and Quicktime. A reboot fixes the problem. DP does not seem to suffer from it.
