Hehehe... so you think! Check the new posts. I just went ahead and did the rest of the thread. I had more done than I thought. It's slow because I was basically rewriting most of the tips, in addition to formatting, and sometimes I had to go try them out in DP to make sure I was getting everything right.

One thing for sure: this is one incredible application. It should be in a museum just because of its depth. Has anyone ever gotten down to the last command in DP? Geez!

I'll contribute...

Panacea for DP files that won't open...

1) Make a new file, called it "XXXX.fix"
2) "Load" the chunk from the file that won't open into the new file.
3) Praise dtobocman

This method has saved my bacon innumerable times in many different ways. Sometimes there is, in fact, a corrupted audio file, but this method can help to narrow down the offending file. It may take a while, but it's much better than being completely stuck. You may need to archive the "broken" session, and then wipe it from the drive, then copy it to a new drive so that DP has to ask for where the files are and you can toggle each file on and off in this fashion in search of the corrupted audio file. It may take an hour or two but it can save your career if the file is that important. Plus, you look really knowledgable as you hunt instead of looking totally stupid.
