Seems like … apparently the ones that paid first are the ones that have to pay again. Fair enough …bdr wrote:i assume that's a US 5/1 ie 1st of May?

So exactly how to I do it fairly then. All for free? Thank God I get enough good will and donations even from those *who never have to give anything again*, or I'd really get a bit miffed over this sentiment.danworks wrote:Seems like … apparently the ones that paid first are the ones that have to pay again. If I didn't have other little priorities biting me in the ass right now,
I know I'd throw you a huge whack of ducats for all your hard work.
You've put a ton of time and energy into this (obviously) and
should be compensated for that.
Keep up the good work..

Man, I appreciate that. And I get being a "pass-through" for money. Seems like I never see anything for more than 5 minutes anymore.sdfalk wrote:If I didn't have other little priorities biting me in the ass right now,

Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
IMO I´m using Andys AmpGUI every day and all the time. That means: much more often than ANY expensive plugin i ever bought. I use it as often as DP itself.
Cuz of the AmpGUI the joy of using DP has been multiplied by 1000.
So I like to make a donation now and then to show my appreciation to this gifted guy and keep him continiue

Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
I'm confused by this comment..who mentioned it should be free? I just wanted to clarify the cutoff date as the US date format always confuses me, and I think the guy that answered my post said it was fair enough too? I've donated twice and am happy to again if I want to keep using your mods.amplidood wrote:So exactly how to I do it fairly then. All for free? Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
Sorry, probably just an overreaction on my part, but it felt like someone was trying to make me feel bad for making those who donated early on pay again. That's probably not what he meant, so again, my bad.

Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
Andy, there wasn't any sarcasm on what I wrote. I was simply answering and confirming to "bdr" about the date (5/1), which here in Italy - for example - is the way we write "5th of January".amplidood wrote:So exactly how to I do it fairly then. If you look into your mailbox you'll surely find several emails we wrote each other back in January, where I was wishing you to make a lot of money with this cos you're good at it, so I'm really not the one pretending you work for free.
Is my English not good enough or what?

Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
It's all good, just an overreaction after a long day and a long weekend, just a misunderstanding. No hard feelings on my end.

Re: AmpGUI7 (now at AMPGUIMODS.COM)
Hey, I'll pay another round from me, and I'll pay for Danworks, too. Not rich; just like to see this get done, and I think Andy's doing a LOT of good-will work here for free. It might be different if Andy was 18 years old, no wife, no kids, and just "hanging out," but he's a professional like many of us, with wife and daughter, and he's got to keep the lights on and the air conditioner running. It's a hot ol' summer in these parts.
Say the word; I'll send some more money, and I just sent some more about a month ago. If you want a project like this, you've got to fund it. Be glad Andy works alone!
Shoosh

Definitely my English is not good enough … it's quite fascinating though seeing passionate and protective answers regarding Andy's work, opposed to something I never said or thought. It's definitely an hot summer, probably too hotShooshie wrote:Hey, I'll pay another round from me, and I'll pay for Danworks, too.
