Doesn't the GS site name really say if all? That place is too negative even for me!

Now the download is taking forever!!! Will DP 7.12 get jelous if 7.2 is downloading in the background? And what's to become of my AmpGuiGold? LOL
Not to worry. Andy said he would be working on them as time allowed. He wasn't sure how long it would take but still seemed optimistic that once you've done one, the rest might get easier. Nevertheless, he has to figure out how to update a mod into a theme, plus he has a lot of mods to do, and it may be more than a weekend will allow. So, patience is in order.

Having live themes, real-time skinning, is like getting to see the Wizard in the Emerald City, and that's exactly what MOTU gave us. I'm pretty darned sure that we're not going to come all this way without getting at least a truckload of themes from Andy! Who could stop just inches from the goal? I suspect we'll see many more themes as the months wear on, and possibly from other sources. We're going to have a lot of looks to choose from!

It's just negative. You, my friend, are like the Real Numbers. You encompass the positive and the negative, the Rational and Irrational, the Pi and the Waffl. With Mapl Syrup. Everything sticks to you. So when you go into a room of gear slutz, it's like getting sucked into a black hole of snapping turtles. Makes one attempt early withdrawal and a quick exit.

That came in 6 actually, I have a Novation Remote 61 and DP5 doesn't recognize it as a control surface, 6 and 7 do, you should see track names next to sliders and be able to use the transport on the SL to record, stop, play etc. It's all in the Novation docs for the SL, but yeah it's 6 and above only.

I don't think any DAW but Cubase recognizes Automaped plug ins and control surface support at the same time though, that's a shortcoming of Novations though IMO.

I heard back from a source at MOTU that Digital Performer 7.2 will probably work normally on 10.4.11, but it is "officially unsupported." I guess it's one of those use at your own risk deals.
Ah, so that would make it like Logic 9, which isn't "supposed" to run on a
G5 but does.

I'll give installation another try tomorrow morning. This is indeed intriguing.
Based on this thread I decide to install. So far, so good. Opened up a few old, big-ish files, no problems.
Early days yet but I'm reasonably confident!
Any issues opening DP 7.12 after the 7.2 installation and use?
Can DP 7.2 saved projects be opened in DP 7.12?
Need to know, just in case the need of going back to 7.12

Great to hear this. Than it probably wouldn´t harm to at least install an test DP7.2 on OSX 10.4.11.
I love Andys AmpGUI Gold Complete so I feel no BIG need of updating just for the themes if there´s any risc included. We´ll see when the daredevil walks in ;).

I dunno about the rest of you all, but I'm really loving the contextual menus. It really is a huge time saver for me. I use them in Sibelius and Finale all the time, so this is a great improvement.

Under TIGER 10.4.11. THE 7.2 version works and his installation don't overwrite the 7.12 version _

It's a huge timesaver. Keeps your mind focused on the task at hand as well.
