Kudos on the website. Looks great - clean, simple, and tells the story well.

This new gig I'm on has allowed me to really put a couple of my mods through their paces on a large monitor. I'm even surprised at the difference they make in being able to move quickly and keep my eyes relaxed while processing all that info. We hit the ground running so fast that I spent the entire first day in the original GUI.... I had a headache within a couple of hours. How did I ever stare at my beloved Mac Classic back in the day?

Andy, which of your own mods do you use the most? Just curious.

I personally flip between MellowEB, Sharp, and Sleek on a regular basis. I have 4 new ones in the works, so that may change soon :)

Andy,

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for all your hard work on your mods. I'm positive that your hard work had a big influence on where MOTU took DP 7.2. You gave many of us an alternative while MOTU sorted out a more systemic approach to skinning DP.

THANKS
:D :D :D :D :D

Been working with this client in the studio for the last 2 weeks. Now she´s about to buy her own copy of DP just for the great looking GUI ( that was the nr 1 reason she said) and of course the great feel of the program. She found her way real fast working with DP during our mixing sesions. She´s been working in Logic Studio until now.. So cool :D

Andy is a real genius! Can´t thank him enough for these great mods.

Thanks Radiogal. Still waiting for my ticket to Sweden.... ;)

Well friends, I wish I could say that it was going to be quick and easy to get AmpGUI mods into this new theme system. It's not. The good thing about that is this.... it means they've nearly completely unlocked the box and made so many things possible that I've wanted to do for a long time. It also means a lot of work for me to make everything fit into the new architecture and try not to miss any details.

This all comes at an extremely busy time in my life, so here's hoping I can find some space to do all this in. The new built-in themes are much better than the stock GUI, so you all should be able to survive for a while till I can get it all figured out.

I'll also have an upgrade policy figured out soon. I know MOTU can roll out huge stuff like this for free, but it's not so easy for little ole me.

Here's to DP's GUI reaching new heights!

Yeah, Dood! :D

You really hit the mark! Maybe MOTU might say "we've been thinking about this feature for a long time," and maybe not, but either way it was you (and iPerformer, I don't want to forget him) who hit the mark, attracted an amazing amount of traffic here, caused a lot of people to drool over DP (and some bought it), and basically set the stage for MOTU to come in and do this right for everyone, including you guys.

Well, almost. I wish that some of your themes were among the MOTU themes provided with the update. I really think they are that good, and that MOTU would actually benefit from them in a direct and measurable way.

…and bankable!

But I'm not going to look back and wish differently. I'm thrilled that MOTU has taken this step, thrilled that you will be able to use it (Oxidized… hint, hint), and pretty danged happy that we're the beneficiaries of all this goodness.

Cheers all around,

Shoosh

Indeed. Cheers all around.

I'd love to see Mellow Electric Blue as a DP theme. 8)

These updates will be a donation-worthy event!

Looks like a lot of work will need to go into making them compatible with 7.2 but the results will, no doubt, be worth it!

I can't wait to see Sharp make it to 7.2!
