I've hardly ever have any problems since the very beginning with MOTU. I always get the feeling that some members here have nothing BUT trouble.
I guess that comes down to peripherals and the hundreds of possible configurations out there. Me, I've got 6.01 running on an Intel iMac with OS 10.5.6 perfectly ... very stable and not a single problem with any project: but then I don't have much in the way of peripherals.
NI Bandstand doesn't work, but it doesn't work in standalone mode either – so methinks the problems are with them and not MOTU. Yes, MOTU sometimes seem tardy, but they're not on their lonesome in the computer world (Apple can be very secretive and unforthcoming at times too).
I guess the current GUI is a bit less than 'wow' … but I can live with it. In fact, I don't think about it much one way or the other: I just record and mix and burn. If it gets better in a later version, that'll be a bonus.
Quickscribe is the worst feature for me: so many things wrong I hardly know where to start. But changing the 'options' in 6 different windows without a preview mode or links to others from within any one of them would be one of them. Also, not being able to view a score in a 'transposed' view (for Eb and Bb instruments) is a real problem for me. I like to play back a file and play along on my alto sax – but if I'm reading from Quickscribe, I have to transpose in my head. I guess I should have better skills there, but I don't, so a transpose view (like Sibelius) would be excellent. And there's my suggestions for 6.02.
So, that's my thrupence-worth for the day. I started to feel left out of the group whinge, so thought I should be proactive and join in

But I'm happy with DP, and can't see me changing any time soon.
