Did someone say, "compost"?bOing wrote:That mixer's starting to look really earthy though. (Maybe some flies and compost?)
You do. "Subscribe topic" at bottom of this page.monkey man wrote:Oh man, I'm missing so many of these... if only I had an Amplidood alarm.
Thank you again, AD; I look forward to trying these soon.
Of course, James, but I'm only online in four hour blocks at night, and often only for one. I've missed chunks of more than one update several times now, and there's nought I can do unfortunately. Further, and probably only 'cause my connection's slow, I've missed two due to AD's pulling the files before d/l had completed. Doh! Oh well.James Steele wrote:You do. I'll keep an eye out for the 'Meister Set 1.0.0.
Amplidood, I hope I'm not out of line asking Shooshie to have a go in your thread; I figured that since it's the case that many DeePeeps have had a dabble already and that the more who do so the merrier it is for us all, you wouldn't mind. Sorry man.
That's pretty easy, really. You can mix and match stuff all the way back to version 1.7.2 if you like. There are a number of incompatibilities with DP 6.01 any further back than that. Just open the graphic files to see which ones suit your taste. If you view the files in icon mode and make them pretty large, it's easy to browse and find what you are looking for. Column mode works well, too. Mixing and matching the Default Styles settings is a bit more involved, but you can find the numbers that work for you without too much effort.ghobish wrote:Dood-
Once again thanks for your obsessive efforts!
I have one opinion... I find I prefer the style of Mute/Solo/Rec/Input buttons and highlights from version 1.7.1. Much clearer to me. I could always customize... which image file would that be?
Thus Spake Cocopelli.Shooshie wrote:Thanks again for asking
The funny thing is, the old meter graphics are all over inside the images folder. It's just somehow they've overridden them with the colors in the Default Style file, which I explained a little earlier...Shooshie wrote:Dood... any chance of fixing the meter color bug, whereby it doesn't reach yellow at the top? I'm guessing it's just a matter of lowering the "top" of the color strip, but maybe it doesn't work like that, or maybe the programmers didn't guess that there is actually a change at the top, and... oh, who knows? It would be interesting to see if you could change the strip and make it work.

You know it's funny man. The graphics are there... Hm, that gives me an idea....
Yeah, the graphics for the old colors are there. All over the place. It's just the meters are all tied to that Default Style XML document. Getting rid of the meter parameters, setting them to zero, nothing seems to work. I believe that the numbers stand for R:G:B, but I'm not sure if there's a parameter for opacity. I tried adding another zero on the end, like
126:126:126:0
....thinking that may set the opacity to zero, just in case the old graphics are still being used and are just covered by these new parameters. Didn't work.
That's why skins and user assignable color preferences are a must for DP in the near future. There is simply no way to make everyone happy. I think the darker vibe makes track colors and meters and certain important controls jump out. Just my opinion. I like some of the background color things you've done on yours, but some of the color choices are pretty garish.Timeline wrote:You've taken this allot further than I have and I complement you on this.
My opinion on your mods are that you have taken the bg darkness thing a bit too far. The fader still needs work BTW as the one MOTU used is clearly non standard to existing faders on real analog gear and I don't relate. I put the original DP fader back on mine with some size changes.
As far as I can tell, the XML just tells DP how to shade specific areas. Where those areas are defined I have no idea.Timeline wrote:I would like to understand how the default XML file changes things though. Could you explain? Also, I understand glogs set the selection position of the various bits of art but wonder if there is a way to make the main controller appear as a breakaway so the control section can be moved separately to the readouts?
Yes well... That is my name.amplidood wrote:Timeline wrote:You've taken this allot further than I have and I complement you on this.
