This may not get to you before Friday. Well what do ya know it is Friday. Al well.
Frodo-
When I open a plug like AU Apple Hi-Pass I used to able to change perimeters in real time as I "previewed' the soundbite. DP6 won't let em do this now and only will allow it in some of the plugs installed prior to DP6.
Seriously, I'm so glad to know MOTU IS listening. I'm sure they'll give us a KILLER 6.1.

I feel sorry for the guy who has to listen to this:
"Issue #1: Why doesn't DP do X?
Issue #2: DP used to do Y, but now it does Z. Please explain.
Issue #3: ..."
Somehow making a very long list, showing up at what is probably merely a sales event with paper-clipped sheaf of papers in hand, and weaseling your way toward the lone guy in a MOTU shirt doesn't seem like the most effective method for getting any individual or company to answer your questions. Of course, that's just my opinion.

I feel sorry for him too –it's a long list– but this kind of approach to getting some answers on lingering questions can be avoided by MOTU developing better customer relations. Even just copping to known issues and big fixes would go a long way.
I'm sure Frodo wishes he didn't have to do this, but I'm glad he is. There is no one better to represent DP users, IMO. His communication skills are remarkable. He won't make the other guy sweat…too much.

I really think it's unfair to say that Frodo is "weaseling" his way into asking questions from a MOTU rep. After all, he said he had a MEETING with him. Do you know something about this MEETING that we don't or are you just being assumptive and presumptive?

You don't seem to understand that a MOTU person (MagicD) is here on the forum frequently and has not answered a single question in this multiple page thread. You will not find answers in the manual, and you will not find answers at motu.com.
Who do YOU propose we should ask?
It needs to become painfully obvious to MOTU that we need better communication. Why not try again today?
I would have given up already from all the dent marks in my head and walls... I'm glad Frodo is up for it.

This may be one of the only avenues into MOTU to help solve issues for 6.01
I have opened up numerous Tech Links on the MOTU site with no answers on anything yet. I would guess they're swamped with crashes, bugs and, "how come this doesn't work anymore in DP6?"
Frodo, glad you're in there, even if it's a MOTU rep and not the chief engineer in charge of development. It's a start and the more of us who come forward in forums like this, the more likely thinks (issues) will get heard.

Boy I heard that!
Hey Thom... You being in MA with what appears to be a fine looking room (Avatar), do you know a great Dobro player(acoustic too) by the name of John Brennan? great guy to work with for film, spots or commercials.

I've just returned from a most positive and constructive and realistic meeting a moment ago.
I think I'll wait to post the results of the meeting until I've had a chance to review this thread and to let some of the chats diffuse a bit.

AAAarggghh. Ok, Frodo. But then insert suspense music here...
If we were all in a room, I BET everyone would shut up and stare at you... In silence.
Can you feel it?
