OK, I got my numbers from allen, went to IK and registered UNO as Allen (suggested this should be done first)but that's as far as I've gotten.
I can't seem to find UNO anywhere to download.

Could someone please advise what the next step is?

I assume you have set up an account. Log in and go to the IK New user area.
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/index.php?Community.

There you will see downloads and registration. You must register first to download.
Good luck. Hey wasn't it sad that Petosa's went down.

Thanks.
I tried it again this morning and it works fine now. No Problems.
They must have had a site issue last night.

Yes, it was a shame Petosa's closed. Lionel is a good guy.

I hate seeing all the mom and pop stores close up but it's hard to move product when megla-mart is your competition.
Personally I'm willing to pay a few bucks more to support local stores but that's just my dinosaur mentality.....

Are you familiar with Pacific Pro Audio? There still hanging in strong and doing a great job.

Hey where is it?

Nothing shows up except some Jam packs or whatever, which I didn't bother downloading.

The order does show up in my orders section, and as I logged into their website and have a user profile, I assume that means I am registered. Unless there is yet another layer to registering?

You should get your AJH / Uno codes emailed to you ..... then download the software and auth/register it from the IK site.

Yes the jampacks are not really worth the HD space they'll take up  ....but have a look at the RAW loop packs and be sure to email Allen which one you want (a D/L link will then appear next to the jampacks) ... I got the world grooves one and it's quite good actually (I'm not generally a big third party loop user myself!)...... certainly useful for certain situations possibly - they are a little over produced sounding though.... but free! :)

Since my email to them bounced, theirs to me might have also.

A lot of people ONLY accept email from the telecoms and other known providers like Google.

My email is managed by my brother-in-law, who works for the premier anti-spam company in Redwood City CA. I NEVER get spam :-).

Apparently, I also occasionally don't get important vendor conf codes either.

I rechecked my box last night, and now there are to jam packs and two drum packs, or something like that. But still no Jimi Hendrix or other product.

My charge card was charged last Sunday, and the charge has cleared.

Am I supposed to install demos first and then request licenses?

I'll probably have to resort to using my long-dormant Operamail account to contact them this weekend, as it looks likely that they have blocked all but the best-known email servers.

Interesting announcement from Notion Music regarding the use of Amplitude within their Progression tablature software for guitarists:

Plug into the new release of PROGRESSION now with AmpliTube!
Release 1.1 of PROGRESSION software introduces new techniques, MusicXML
Import, and other must-have features. But making the biggest buzz is its
inclusion of AmpliTube 2 Duo ••“ the immensely popular multi-effects VST
from IK Multimedia. [http://www.notionmusic.com/featured/0308amplitube.cfm]

Not sure if it's now a VST host and can also host full-blown versions of Amplitude 2, Jimi Hendrix, etc.

You can do it that way (I did) - demos prompt you to register it and take you straight to the right web page if you do.

Be sure to check for updates after registering - at least one plug has a higher version in full mode than in demo mode.

It's a pretty complicated ordeal, but it was definitely worth it. The amplitude 2, the bass plug in, and the Jimi plug in will be in your IK download box. There are like three different set of numbers you have to keep going back and forth and inputting when you run DP with the new plug-ins.

The free Jampacks will be in the Esoundz download box. Also email Allen and request your free RAW samples.

Best,

Matt

Aha! That clears it up; I was only checking my esoundz account.

I do already have an account with IK Multimedia (I bought Miroslav Philharmonik in December), so I'll login to that site tonight.

Thanks for clearing that up; maybe it was described this way earlier and I missed it.

If only it were that simple; these products do not show up at the Downloads page of my User Area at IK Multimedia's website either.

In order to use the tech support contact form, I had to pretend I was writing about Miroslav Philharmonik as you have to have a serial number to submit a query. You have to enter far too much impertinent data at that site (computer speed, etc.) when all you're doing is asking "where's my product".

I had to launch Safari in order to login, as login fails under Camino (not cookie-related, so who knows, but certain sites give me trouble on Camino).

From my perspective (someone sitting on the outside looking in at VIs and 3rd party plugs), it all looks mighty scary and unnecessarily complicated.

Folks like me (if there are any left) won't take that leap until some sort of palpable certainty has permeated the market. :?
