This...

Crystallizer ($29 instead of $149) which is kind of a delay, pitch shift, phase shifting, thang... I miss that from some of my hardware effects. Anyway, the demo video is only guitar but there's a lot of application for sound design work (in the traditional sound design definition...)

UVI’s Drum Designer sounds great in the description. The video is something of a deal breaker.

Can’t wait to the day I’m asked to score a kaleidoscope. lol Seriously, in 6 months I predict someone will be kicking themselves for not dropping a measly $30 on this. I see lots of interesting uses for this.

I hear you. Still kicking myself for not picking up their Little Alter Boy when it was free (how many years ago?). I had waited too long and missed it.

Eventide SP2016 Reverb Time Machine $79 or $29 upgrade

Post by James Steele »

Got an email about this plug in. Normally $249... on sale for $79... BUT... if you already owned the 2016 Stereo Room plug in, it's a $29 upgrade. I checked my account at Eventide.com and it appears I already owned that. It may have been one of the freebies or really cheap Eventide promotions, so I'd suggest people here check. Seems like for $29, this would be worth doing if you're already a registered owner of Stereo Room!

https://www.eventideaudio.com/products/ ... 016-reverb

UPDATE: I just went ahead and did it. Seemed a no-brainer at $29 upgrade and I'm a sucker for reverb plugs. Offer is good till 10/31.

Thanks, James. I spotted this earlier and, since I have the freebie version, wasn't up for spending $99, but at $29, it is a no-brainer. They added some good presets as well.

I am a reverb-freak/addict as well, and this is indeed a no-brainer if you have the 2016Room one already and can grab this for $29! Got it! :-)

Thanks for the heads-up!

Yes, 2016 Stereo Room was a freebie from a couple years ago. I'm $29 poorer, too.

I notice that nearly all Eventide plugs were updated between Sept. 14–28 last month. Rather than logging into your account and threading the maze in their web site, you can just jump to this link without logging in and download the latest of anything you have—it's 3 pages in case you don't see everything right away.

Can you keep running both Stereo Room and the upgrade? I have a couple of presets in SR I want to keep using.

Pretty sure you can. I installed the new one and it didn't overwrite anything.

Yep.

I downloaded the 9/28/2018 update to SR afterwards and it installed.

Both show up on my iLok account and in my plugins folder.

Looks like Eventide is pulling out all the PR stops in this release.

Who knew you could acquire so much history for $29?
