Waves and DP 5.1

Post by rikp »

This has probably already been hashed out, but I just spent the $$$ on WUP (what a rip) only to find that Waves 5 does not work on DP5.1 or is it just me?

Peace

Take the MAS versions off of your system and just use the AU versions which work fine in DP 5.1.

Nothing is showing up for Waves. I also run Logic and they are all fine there.

Try this thread. There were a bunch of posts on getting Waves to work:

No prob... I went through the same frustration, and that thread was my guide. BTW, the Waves AU's work perfectly in DP 5.1 (well, except for TuneLite which exhibits some odd behavior but still works), so I don't know why MAS is still around. But that's another conversation....

sound shifter doesn't work well either.. although Rennaisance pack works just fine as does SSL... I had an issue with wave shell 5.2 causing dp 5.1 to crash when loading, but 5.7 seems OK, even though some plug ins (soundshifter, tune lite) are not as advertised... I trashed waves shell 5.2 and things are OK...
