"STUCK" MIDI NOTES IN DP5/MACH 5
I keep getting "stuck" MIDI notes from mach 5 and GPO after installing DP 5. Notes continue to play when I stop the sequence, and have to manually shut them off using the"stop sounding MIDI notes" command. Not even a lot of notes, it will happen with one or two, with different buffer sizes and different settings in MIDI patch thru. I'm using a MTP AV, DP 5 on a dual 1 gig G4.
Thanks in advance for any ideas...

One work-around for that problem has been to install MIDI driver version 1.3.1. (clicking here will download the installer) The majority of all people reporting chronic stuck notes were using driver version 1.3.2, and the majority of all people using 1.3.1 reported no stuck notes. To check, go to:
/System/Library/Extensions/MOTU...
I'm not saying it's the only problem that causes stuck notes, but it can be a huge factor. Come to think of it, given your system and the circumstances surrounding your sudden onset of the problem, yours may have more to do with RAM and buffer sizes. Try increasing both, unless you're already maxed out in RAM.

Also, be sure you OS is up to date. 10.4.7 and DP 5.01 fixed all that for me.

You might want to give 5.1 a whirl as well. I think MOTU did some work on this issue in that update as well, although I don't know if the installer will overwrite your 1.3.1 driver... it might. You might not need it with 5.1.
