Space bar - no reaction. OSX 10.4.7
After working a while on DP5, I left the program and suddenly the space bar shows no reaction. I have to log out and re log in ••“ then it works normally again.
any suggestions?
Sometimes this will happen after a remove a firewire drive too?javascript:emoticon(':?:')

Okay. Given that you may have reparied permissions and have run a disc utility like Disc Warrior or TechTools and it still doesn't work, you may need to try removing your command bindings.
Go to:
User > Library > Preferences > Digital Performer > Command Bindings.
Drag the command bindings file into the trash. When you restart DP, a new default command bindings will be created.
The downside: you'll lose any custom key commands
The upside: you'll have a fresh command bindings file where the older one may have just gotten corrupted.
Give that a try first...

I once used a Mac that would constantly lose connection with the keyboard and I'd have to unplug and replug the USB connector to re-establish connection. It turned out to be the 3rd-party keyboard I was using, as I replaced it with a different one and everything worked fine after that. The faulty keyboard worked perfectly on another, similar Mac. Weird.

Yep, Mike. I have a new Apple keyboard and although this happens rarely, it does happen. Not even sure why since no third-party devices were being used at the time.mikebeckmotu wrote:I once used a Mac that would constantly lose connection with the keyboard and I'd have to unplug and replug the USB connector to re-establish connection. Computers are such high maintenance.
