Kurzweil K2600xs midnam file

Post by theringer »

I've just gotten a Kurzweil K2600xs and am using it with DP4.1, but DP only provides the midnam file for the basic K2600, which doesn't include the Contemporary and Orchestral ROMs. So right now DP shows banks 2-9 full of generic User Patches, which is frustrating. I've searched online, but can't find a complete midnam file for the K2600xs anywhere. Does anyone have an ideas? Thanks!

You could use CherryPicker to make your own complete midinam file based on the one you've got -- a chore, I know, but having done something similar for another synth, it works. It also can import OMS and FreeMIDI formats, if you have or can find a patchlist in those formats.

Thanks! I've downloaded a copy of Cherry Picker and will get to work. Hopefully I'll find an old OMS or FreeMIDI copy of the patchlist somewhere. Appreciate the help!
Best,

I went poking around the Kurzweil site when I saw your first post -- they seem to have some PDF's of the orchestral bloc's patchlist. . .maybe you could use that to copy and paste. . .

Good luck!

Got copies of those, too, and may try that. Thanks!
