multiple busses/mixes for cuemix with pci424 card?

Post by zionminstrel »

I'm sure there is a simple answer to this, but I just got a pci424 card to go with my 2408mkII and DP3. I thought I read somewhere that cuemix can do up to four different stereo mixes (four different busses?) with the 424 card. I can only get the one bus to come up. How do I get the other three or will this not work with the 2408mkII unit (am I missing a magic button again). I looked for some info on this site and motu's site but couldn't find any. Guess I'm the only one that can't get it to work correctly. Thanks.

Haven't used cuemix in forever, but I seem to remember the "selection" of the busses not being all that obvious. I think the actual label you're looking at for that one bus, is a pull down menu or something. See if you can click on it and change it to another bus. I think that got me too when I first got mine.

Hope it works,

George

Sorry to bump this, but I'm still having issues finding out how to pull up multiple busses. Does this feature only work with more current interfaces? I'm using a 2408mkII unit. Thanks

You can only view one Bus at a time, but you can run as many as 12 different buses.

Cue mix provides one mix for every physical output pair. You can select the different buses by clicking on the box above the master fader (right hand side of cue mix window). and selecting the outputs you want to route your bus to. Set your individual channel faders and voila, you have another bus!

Thank you so much. I didn't realize this was the case (obviously). Just one last question, since you kinda brought it up. When you say that you can have as many as 12 busses, these are 12 stereo busses and not just 12 mono equalling 6 stereo. Again, thanks so much for the clarification.
