Got them. Thank you very much. They are some really nice patches.
Two of my favorites: Tangy Bass and Faloot.

roxmooth wrote:Finally got the patches, love'em thank you! very useful compared to what you get out of the box, hands down brought the modulo to life. at least for me. i really love the modulation and the way you get a cool vibrato or sweep type effect.. im gonna get into the manuel and learn how to do that myself. im seriously inspired.
I'm glad the patches "brought Modulo to life" for you. Consider: I made these presets partly as springboards for others to invent their own variations. Hopefully, they'll serve that use.

FWIW: It seem to me some people quickly browse Modulo's shipped presets, are not impressed by them (understandably so), then deem the app to be non-pro quality -- which isn't the case at all. You just need to get under its hood a little.

Thanks man, I appreciate it, particularly coming from you. I've checked out some of your recordings and think they're mucho cool.

Thanks for the responses, guys.

Chrispick, thanks. I downloaded your patches. I still haven't installed DP5 as I'm in the middle of a jazz album but I'll check them out when I finally install it -

Your right, I did only run through the stock presets. My thing is I want a patch to just jump out at me without editing parameters or turning a knob. I bought a motif because I like the patches provided. That's my only problem with reason is it doesn't have"that sound" unless you add your own little twist to it. I'm learning to like that fact that I have the freedom to create a patch from nothing but that takes time and a little more knowledge in editing and applying effects than I have right now. Once I get the hang hang of it. All of my modules will be gone and I'll be happy with the vi's in dp and reason.

Chris,
FWIW I reqally do appreciate your efforts. I won't be able to use your patches as I'm waiting for 5.12 at least.

Slight rant warning:
I recently spent several hours writing up a tutorial, debugging it and rewriting, etc until I felt a noob could do it. It was about creating DJ style crossfaders in DP, which is not something natural to it. I realize this is a bit of a special-needs subject (not everybody needs crossfaders). But I was amazed at the almost complete lack of response other than a few polite ones like Shooshie. At one point the thread had about a dozen views while a debate about the DP 5 logo grew many times that and mine plummeted off the page. I thought about bumping mine and hard-selling it, but I'm just not that much of a salesman. I was very very surprised at getting almost no response whatsoever when silly (IMO) debates rage on right beside. I don't think even one person actually tried what I wrote up. Maybe it wasn't clear?? I sure thought it was and no comments to the contrary. I had planned to do more and thought it would spur other people on, kinda like what Shooshie has done, but more specific tutorials on different areas of DP. That was my first and last attempt at writing a DP tutorial - too bad too, because I like doing such things.
No matter what I say about this it comes off whiny.

BUT I don't feel so bad when you're having to hard sell free patches, Chris. Still don't get understand though... :?

I sincerely thank you for your generosity and apologize for the hijack. And now back to your regularly-scheduled thread. :D

Oh, I don't. And didn't really. My whine post was partly an excuse to add to the thread, thus bumping readership. I did find the lack of apparent interest early on odd, but I wasn't really miffed by it. Just a bit confused. And, since then, this thread's gotten plenty of views.

Anyway, I hope those of you without DP5 still grab my patches for when you do upgrade. They're very small ZIP files, so they take up minimal hard drive space.

Thanks. That's one of the patches I put to immediate use on a job.

My personal favorite is Sweller. Try it with major triads.

Phil, if you've ever worked on conducting surveys, you find that it isn't unusual for 30% or fewer of those viewing the survey to take time to respond. The same behavior in forums isn't much different. If you want to get attention, you'll do best by bumping your thread and making noise (as Chrispick did on this thread and Shooshie did on his Bug Tracking thread).

I know it can be frustrating, but keep it on the radar screen and you'll get more responses. Another thing, your thread sounds like it might fit into the DP Tips Sticky Thread, so you might consider sending Shooshie a PM and ask him if it makes sense to add it there.

Anyway, try not to get discouraged. Persistence will pay off. 8)

Cheers,
Bill

Giving this thread a final bump. I'll probably pull down the preset ZIPs the end of this weekend. So, last chance.
