Before you install ANY unreleased software not yet in your possession, remember to repair permissions and run the crons.

Seems snappier too! Sorry ya'all......... I just thought I would put that out there before anyone else does :D :P :D :P
Installed DP 5 on both my Atart ST 520 and Apple IIe. It was very inconsiderate of MOTU to only provide a DVD install disk. I had to convert the installer to 875 floppies and wouldn;t you know it, #874 crapped out!

I can't get MachFive to load on the IIe and MX4 won't load on the Atari, so I'm back on my G5 running DP 4.6.1. When are these guys going to get things right the first time...?

On a positive note, while I didn't change anything in the G5 yet, it really does seem snappier. Must be osmosis.

Man,.... I never thought we'd be running 52 bit audio like this!

I also figured out a way to hide my kid in one of the track folders.

Definitely a protools killer!

I need help...

I paid money at the MOTU site for DP5 upgrade but the software didn't automatically download or come up on the screen.

Should I go back to the site and pay again?

I want the feature they show at the website that has the little "Q" picture come up and then a little window appears and all the stuff on the screen moves by itself. This version of DP actually does all the work for you!!

If only I can get it to download and install itself...
Mac Studio Ultra/ 2013 Trashcan. DP10 and 11.
32 channels of Apogee Symphony MkII/ Dangerous 2Bus+.
Lots of Neve, API, and Dangerous outboard gear.

For a monthly fee, I am happy to make 'the stuff on the screen move by itself...' Provided:

1) I retain all copyrights and licensing.
2) Bidding for a buyout starts at $150,000/minute of completed.
3) Long and short term non-exclusive licensing available.

PayPal accepted. :)

(You get to look at the pretty colors and watch the stuff move.)

Most definetly yes. And keep repeating the procedure until a link to the download pops up. It's like playing the slots...you'll win...eventually.
Send me some money, I'll help you out...your chances of winning will dramatically improve.

Awesome.

Man, hand it to those guys at MOTU! Who woulda thunk you could jury-rig an old Sears electronic typewriter to the USB port and download DP5? Now I can make use of all those special tabbing characters that are missing from most computers!
