LOGIC to MOTU glitch - error in synch of audio and MIDI

Post by zealley »

I run LOGIC Pro 7 on a G4 powerbook with a MOTU896HD interface. I started running into problems when I upgraded to OSX-Tiger, but got through it with a simple download from the MOTU site. However, for the past 2 days my LOGIC program is unable to talk to the interface - everytime I try to play a LOGIC program I get an error message that states "error synchronizing audio and MIDI" - this is accompanied by a high freq squeal and some clicking sounds. Any thoughts? Things have been running fine (since November 2004) - until now...

this happened to me. I had to end up doing a factory reset on the 828. That cured all of my problems. Im not sure exactly how to do it...it involves holding down a button on the 828 for a couple of secounds. Check the manual or if not call motu and ask them how to do a factory reset.

That noise coming out of the speakers was god awful!!!! Very frightening!
