DP5?
Just got a new Sweetwater catalog.
It features, and covers quite extensively, DP5.
No mention on MOTU's website.
Anyone?

The only thing on MOTU's site I've found, really, was the hi-res jpg of the new plugs.
The Sweetwater site still shows the DP 4.5 graphic.
Can you tell us if there is anything new or unusual about the content in the SW catalog? New pics? New stats other than those from the NAMM announcements and MacWorld articles?
(Feel like scanning some pics for us?

So it's either pay MOTU for a fun new toy or pay the government my taxes? That's a no brainer!billf wrote:Well, for what's it's worth, a couple of days ago I read a blurb in one of the trade magazines (Mix I think it was) that said it's scheduled for a 4/15 release date.

I just got the new Sweetwater GearPorn 06 and it had a big fancy spread on DP 5. They said nothing about 'available on..' or 'almost here!' If i didn't know better I would assume that I could call them up and have a copy here on Tuesday.
hopefully it is but weeks away.
Although, it only price for the full, new purchase ($795), the competitive upgrade ($395) and the Performer>DP5 upgrade ($295).
I'm really, REALLY hoping that the $295 version is for the six people left out there that still use the original performer and would like to upgrade the 7800's to DP5...
Anyone know how much this upgrade is supposed to cost? If it is over $150, I might have to protest for at least 3 months (while tossing and turning in bed at night with visions of orange an '5' cruising through my brain)

Will DP5 run on my Apple II?chrispnyc wrote:I'm really, REALLY hoping that the $295 version is for the six people left out there that still use the original performer and would like to upgrade the[ir] 7800's to DP5...

Seriously though, the pricing looks like it's the same as it has been in the past releases, so existing DP 4.5 --> to DP5 upgrades are probably going to be close to your $150 mark. If not, get some ambien to help you through the next couple of months.
