Whats the best way to consolidate files (bounce multiple audio files from begining to end of sequence) to import into other daw. Besides doing an omf. It would be nice if there was a command that would automatically consolidate a project, like nuendo when bouncing down. Any thoughts or solutions?

Re: Consolidate Files
You know... I haven't had to do this myself, but one thing I heard mentioned is that you record enable all the tracks you want to transfer then go to the beginning and hit record for a instant and then stop it. This puts some audio at the very beginning of your sequence on every track. The you select all the tracks and select the entire range from the beginning to end and use Merge Soundbites and it will create contiguous soundbites from beginning all the way to the end for each track. That little bit of audio at the head of each track is necessary so that DP will start every track at the beginning.mikecee wrote:Whats the best way to consolidate files (bounce multiple audio files from begining to end of sequence) to import into other daw. Any way, this is sort of what I read somewhere. Obviously it's going to mean some larger files since you may have a couple minutes of silence as part of a soundbite for a track that might not actually begin near the end of a song. I guess all this is to be certain you can line them all up at the very beginning of a track in a different sequencer... then you can edit out the silence after the fact.
I probaby shouldn't have even tried to answer this... LOL... hopefully someone who does this more often will illuminate this a bit more.
