help w/mach 5

Post by guitarsark »

i installed the software and followed all directions but cannot load any sounds. here's what's happening:
when i coose an audio track insert, machfive does not show up as one of the plug ins. the only way to get into mach 5 is selecting a new instrument track. then it shows up as an insert but is grey-ed out.
when i try to load a sound, from the file browser, i do not get a list, i get only none or new soundbank. if i try to manually go in and drag a sound to the main window, all my sounds (aiff files) are greyed out. my interlock key is in, im running the latest version of dp on a g4 dual 867 with 768mb ram. please help....thanks

did you read the manual? (just joking) make sure you have the Mach5 inst track assigned to an active audio output and also make a MIDI track and assign it to the chan you are going to use. As for selecting the sounds they are down in the lower left portion of the screen, first you select the bank & then the instrument.

also that is not very much RAM, you may want to try the streaming settings and also keep your polyphony down.

good luck!
