Why are new MOTU-interfaces deeper?

Post by oortone »

I've noticed new versions of MOTU interfaces, lik 828, has grown deeper.
That's quite unusual, electronic hardware growing bigger. Not so good for us who have limited depth available for the interface.

Any ideas why they have grown?

Could be heat related. The old needed free space above and below, many didn’t heed, many died.

I was thinking the same thing Brother Doug.

Greater surface area = more dissipation.
