Yes, all of that could be done in the old matrix, but this is much simpler to grok.

I hope they can expand compatibility for this to include the previous generation of avb interfaces.

Me too. Honestly I got so frustrated trying to figure out the whole routing matrix with my 828es + 24Ai setup.

In my experience over 2 different computer systems, figuring out the old AVB routing isn't too hard, it's been super buggy browser display problems that frequently throw performance into doubt. Frequently doesn't update the display, or comes back up with something off that was on, and doesn't show it. Open it in another browser, bingo, you can see it.

Hopefully the new thing is a smoother experience. It looks like it's better on compartmentalizing what you have to think about per task, but lacks the overall system view of the previous.
