I've set up Event Chasing to chase notes so that if I start in the middle of phrase that has several whole notes tied together, I can still hear the MIDI track with the whole notes.
Problem is that it sounds like DP is starting the chase a little before the playback. This is an issue when the whole notes are a MIDI arpeggiator playing something rhythmic (sixteenth notes, for example). The whole notes' sixteenth note rhythm actually sounds AHEAD of playback, and are not in sync. I have to start all the way back at the beginning of the whole note for everything to sound together, making the note chase feature worthless.
How do I chase but not have the small preroll on the chase so that all the tracks play in sync?

Re: Event Chasing PreRoll
Following up on this, as I never got it resolved.
To summarize, "Notes" is checked in Event Chasing.
No problem with long notes that aren't arpeggiators, such as piano for example.
But notes that are arpeggiators don't start on a beat. They are off by a fraction of a beat, even if start playback on the downbeat of a bar. There is a tiny preroll, and consequently they are not in sync with playback.
Help!

Re: Event Chasing PreRoll
If I understand correctly, you have whole notes (or longer) that are running arpeggiators. You've set up Note Chasing so that if you start on the different downbeat of a later bar, the chasing would cause the triggered arpeggiator to still start on a downbeat and in sync.
This sounds like a bug. There is another bug where DP's displayed cursor position and the audio is not correct. They acknowledged it, and are hopefully working on a solution. I wonder if this might be related.
I strongly encourage you to submit a tech support request. You can send them a project file that demonstrates the issue-- and give them instructions for steps to reproduce it.
