Volume differences 828. - RESOLVED
Why is the output volume of the Main Mix stereo output of the 828 so much quieter than all other outputs? All faders stand at the same point.
Re: Volume differences 828
If using the main outputs as your system output, the system volume control would reduce the mains output.

Thanks CharizS,
The volume control of the main Monitor 1-2 output stands at maximum, i.e. 0dB. I do not want to use that as the system output, just as an extra output just like the other outputs.

Re: Volume differences 828
Is there a -10/+4 Level Switch for the Main Outputs? Just a wild guess...
Re: Volume differences 828
Thanks HCMarkus,
Not that I can see, neither on the interface, nor in CM5, nor in the manual.

Hi all,
Got in touch with MOTU and got the most speedy and helpful reply from Matt Batson. It turned out that the culprit was a setting in the audio-MIDI setup tool that I was unaware of. I always used that tool for MIDI, never had any need to use it for audio. But out of the box it apparently set the main outs at a much lower volume than the regular outs. Fixing that did the trick. Thanks all for your concern!
Cheers, Boby
