Storyboarding Software

Post by pacificm »

Hello,

I create cinema projects including music and animation.

Film music is a primary focus.

Regular scriptwriting software doesn’t cut it for me because I want to be able to hear how the film music fits with a scene and see the animation.

That’s why storyboarding software is preferable for me.

My question is do you have any storyboarding software to recommend that would include the ability to add music and animation to the storyboard?

Please let me know if you have any recommendations.

Thank you!

The Best,
James

I like Scrivener. $59.99 Mac or Windows; $23.99 iPadOS/iOS. (no Android). You only need one license for your Mac/PC and another for iOS — you can install on as many devices as you own.

Although people try to finish projects in it, its real function is to create a large outline that lets you add and rearrange all of your various elements including text, audio and media files. You can then export to many other apps including Word, Final Draft, pdf, Amazon Books etc.

If collaborating with yourself among your devices or with others, use Dropbox. Media files may make a project too big for the free version but that's what most people use.
