Digital Performer
I have several versions of DP in my downloads folder. Can I delete the older versions without affecting my current files or the latest version of DP which I just downloaded? Thx, Ed

Re: Digital Performer
How far back are we talking? After a certain version, all the MAS plugs are contained inside the DP application bundle, so there's no concerns about the stock plugins being compatible. Generally if you rename the Digital Performer apps (I like to append the version number on the the name of the app) you can have multiple versions on DP co-exist on the same Mac. This should be no problem with DP9, DP10 and DP11.
You can delete different versions and it shouldn't affect anything, AFAIK.

Re: Digital Performer
Yes but you may have to reinstall the latest version when your done.
In addition,
Reboot. When you relaunch DP, these caches will rebuild and your plug-ins will re-verify. This has fixed a lot of issues for many of us on the Mac. It's now in my Things to do once a year list.
In addition,
When I did this, I also found AudioDesk caches going back to the 1990s in there.To delete the VI caches, open the following folder;
/Users/(account name)/Library/Preferences/com.motu.MotuAudioSystem/
Delete these files (you may not have all of them): Audio Unit Info Cache 64-bit, VST3 Info Cache v2 and VST Info Cache 64-bit. Remove the 32 bit versions also.
