RESOLVED: Issues getting Monitor 8 to work over avb

I have a Monitor 8 and a 24ai connected via the motu avb switch. The mac picks up the 24ai in the avb network in mac but doesn't pick up the Monitor 8, so I am unable to create an aggregate device.
The Monitor 8 shows up in the motu discovery page and I can open its control panel... but that's about it.

Running on a mac studio m1...

Anyone have any ideas? I have installed the latest firmware and drivers for the Monitor 8. The m1 is running ventura.

No reason to create an aggregate device. The AVB network IS the device - whichever of the 2 you deem master. They should see each other. Enable AVB streams to/from each to the other in the browser routing window. The switch isn’t needed for 2 devices.

The cool thing is that BOTH devices will be available in the master (connected to computer) device's AVB Mixer and Routing pages... so you set up the routing from the master and you will see all the inputs from both devices in your DAW and mix from a single AVB Mixer page in your browser.

I don't know if I am missing something here, but in the motu discovery app only the 24ai and avb switch are showing. The Monitor 8 isn't.

Scratch that, it is now..... however it isn't showing in the Network Device Browser. Only the 24ai is.

Had a little chat and teamviewer session with MOTU support last night, all sorted great when you have someone who knows the matrix in and out lol.

Glad you got it sorted.

Let me just add that naming the inputs and outputs on the Matrix page makes life better. The names auto-populate in the AVB Mixer and in Digital Performer.
