V RACKS

Post by roccoc »

Im using Vracks latley for scoring work so i dont have to disable my instruments in each sequence when I swith chunks.
My question is...do you know of a way to have more that one channel on eaach V rack? Instead of creating multiple vracks?
is it possible? am i stupid?

...click on your v-rack screen (mixer) then select add instrument track from Project > Add Track.

Unless I've missed a point here..

Yeah that's how I do it anyway - I've recently been getting into using v-racks.

OK so now to turn this thread on it's head....

How do you delete a v-rack track????

I was trying to do this the other day , in the end I gave up.

I was wondering if there was a way to view the V Rack & the mixer at the same time? You can delte them but it's hidden somewhere, I'll post when I find it.

Deleting Tracks from a V-Rack.

Select Delete Track from the pop-up menu at the
bottom of each mixer-strip in the Mixing Board.

..I've got another one..

How do you change the colour of a v-rack channel?

I worked this out once, and never again managed it.

Unless I am misunderstanding your question --

A V-Rack doesn't contain any track, automation or time-based
data -- so there is nothing really to view -- So, you cannot open
a V-Rack in a Track or Sequence Window.

The Mixing Board is the only place to view and modify
a V-Rack. Also, you can see a V-Rack listed in a Chunks
Window.

I know this is an ancient ghost thread but... DP has been my DAW for over 20 years and I don't think I've ever used the V-Racks feature. Today, though some sort of ham-fisted keyboard maneuver, I unknowingly created a V-Rack. Had no clue how to delete it. Having found this thread I was able to delete the "Instrument 1" within that V-Rack, but the V-Rack itself lives on. Not the end of the world, but my questions is, how does one delete the V-Rack itself?

Thanks!

Go to the Chunks Window, Select the V-Rack and Delete it (Right Click> Delete Selection)
