Opened a new project and opened a MIDI file created from another program. I then added a Waves Rhapsody piano instrument track and confirmed that the instrument operates, produces sound, etc. I routed the MIDI track to the instrument and hit play, and everything works. However, five or so minutes into doing some edits on the MIDI, the track will no longer play bars 1, 2 or 3 but will resume playing at bar 4 beat 3. When I say no longer playing, the MIDI track appears to play and the meter on the track is active but it is like nothing is getting to the instrument track. No sound. No meter activity on the instrument track for those bars. Until the cursor reaches bar 4.3 and then the sound will resume.
If I stop and start again after 4.3 it won't play but might start playing again later in the track. But, if I play from the start, the sound will consistently resume at 4.3
I have created the same sequence in a new project and it still happens, exactly the same way.
What am I doing wrong that I am unaware of? Must be some kind of filter or setting or event that is in the MIDI file or somewhere else that I am ignorant of. Or, I have a buggy setup, but that seems unlikely since the sound consistently resumes at the same exact location. Any ideas or suggestions for troubleshooting?
Using DP 11.03 90102 on an M1 iMac running OS X ver 12.1 (Monterey). I have a lot of Waves plugins but not using any (except the piano instrument).
Thanks for any help.

Re: MIDI Puzzler
Look for any CC11, volume or mute automation in the MIDI Track.

Re: MIDI Puzzler
Thanks. Nothing in the MIDI feed, but I have narrowed it down to something with the software instrument. I tested with other instruments and everything seems to work. (I tried this before I posted, but I encountered what seemed like the same issue, but I have concluded I was not testing correctly)
Thanks for the help. I will contact Waves to see if they have a fix.
