AU plug-in "fails examination" ...now what?
I installed a new Audio Unit plug-in the other day, & when I then launched DP it said "plug-in failed examination; will be ignored" or something like that.
When I downloaded a new (hopefully uncorrupted) version of the plug-in & tried re-loading it, DP didn't even bother re-examining it, and of course the plug-in didn't show up; it's like DP has already determined that any plug-in with that name is corrupt or non-functional, and just ignores it.
Is there a way to re-set the parameters that tell DP which plug-ins are new and need examining upon launch?
(If it's not already obvious, I'm pretty OSX-ignorant...and I'm running a very 2004 setup: DP 4.61 under OSX 10.3.9 on a dual 1GHz MDD G4.)

That seemed to work, Now my AU's will show up. Problem now is about 15 AU's failed to pass, and they had been working before. How can I get these plug ins working?

Re: AU plug-in "fails examination" ...now what?
Reminder for Apple Silicon users: Examinations should be done while running DP in Rosetta, not native. The exam ignored or failed several plug-ins for me (many SoundToys among them) when I did the exam operation in native mode. When opening DP subsequently in native mode the Rosetta mode-passed plug-ins showed up and remained valid.

Oh, awesome. I’m not inclined to mess with the betas since the Rosetta versions seem stable, but it’s great to see they’re making progress.HCMarkus wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 2:48 pm https://www.soundtoys.com/apple-silicon-public-beta/
