Just a quick head-up for people using eurorack modules and modular synths: It appears the 16A card is DC compatible just like the good old 24 I/O card was, and even offers a more powerful output. I slapped on a multimeter and measured:
Max positive DC output
Cold to hot: 13.93 volt
Ground to hot: 7.03 volt
Cold to ground: 6.90 volt
Max negative DC output
Cold to hot: 13.88 volt
Ground to hot: 6.89 volt
Cold to ground: 7.00 volt
Now the numbers looks a bit odd and asymmetrical. If the 16A is just nearly as precise as my old 24 I/O was, the inaccuracies probably come from my super cheap multimeter and not the actual soundcard. Also, be aware that I did not add any additional resistance when doing these measurements.
Obviously the next test is to hook up some a modular synth and try this out in real life. But at this point I'm already 95% convinced that this card will be very good at controlling synths and eurorack stuff.
16A is DC compatible!
