Loss of one function in the SE window of DP11 SOLVED
In the sequence editor window, I used to be able to click on the top bar of an audio part to get back to soundbites view.
Now I have to go to the mini menu and select soundbites to go back.
Slows down the work flow.
Still wondering if it is possible to assign key commands to the mini menu on an audio track in the SE.
When editing a track, I'm often going back and forth from Pitch to Soundbites to Bite Volume.. etc.
So much small clicking...
There must be a better way.

Re: Loss of one function in the SE window of DP11
I've experienced that in the past with earlier versions(s) of DP. Not happening in DP11 for me currently; clicking on top bar returns me to Soundbite Mode from Pitch Mode. Or at least it did lat time I worked in DP11. I've been in 10.13 lately on a different project.
I trust you tried a re-boot of your Mac?
And yes, it would be swell to be able to select mini menu items with key commands.
Note, however, you CAN access Bite Volume by clicking on the volume number at the lower left of each soundbite in Soundbite Mode; this brings up the pop up fader that allows adjustments to be made.

fdco,
I'm sorry for the off-topic question, but is that double-neck in your avatar a Mosrite?

Re: Loss of one function in the SE window of DP11
Thanks for that!
Personally, I'd like to have direct access to, especially, the Pitch layer, as I use it a lot and am toggling back and forth between it and Soundbites as I edit vocals. But it's a good start!

Re: Loss of one function in the SE window of DP11
I agree. I've been using the "previous/next" commands too and it is still several button pushes to get to the editor I want.
Also... still asking about the click in the top bar of the soundbite. HC, you mentioned that is is working for you in DP11, but said in other versions of DP it didn't.
Is anybody else experiencing this behavior in DP11?
Re: OT...
The Mosrite double neck is very cool!
How heavy is that thing?

Re: Loss of one function in the SE window of DP11
I wasn't clear in my earlier message; clicking at the top of the Soundbite returns to Soundbite layer from Pitch layer in DP10.13 for me. I encountered the issue raised at some point in the past... I don't recall specifics, other than it was resolved.

Re: Loss of one function in the SE window of DP11
Thanks!
It always worked for me in DP 10.13 and prior versions.
It stopped working in DP11.
I'm trying to figure out if it is something in my system, or a change in DP11.

Re: Loss of one function in the SE window of DP11
Solved! Not sure how to mark this topic as solved, but thanks to MOTU tech support, it is fixed.
With the soundbite selected in the SE window, go to View/Show Only the Active Edit Type.
It should be unchecked.
In my case, it was unchecked, but required toggling on and off to get it working.
Some weird holdover from DP10.
I'm a happy camper.

And you should. Although posts are difficult to find by searching this board, these topics show up on Google searches pretty easily.
