In case this helps anyone: the new, free StudioRack plugin from Waves solved the issue for me. Version 9, 10, and 11 plugins work perfectly within the StudioRack plugin. On their own, version 9 and 10 plugins crash when closing the plugin window. But when they are added within the StudioRack plugin, they work perfectly and do not crash the program when closing the plugin window.
