MIDI Controller Akai MPK61 how to set up in DP
Hello everyone !
Today I bought a MIDI controller Akai MPK 61 and have absolutely no idea how to set it up to work with DP.
Perhaps there are owners of the device? I will be glad to any hints. I haven't found anything sensible on the network yet. Thank you.

I don't have the MPK61, but let's see if I can't get you started. When powered up and connected to the computer by USB, do you see the Akai in the Apple Audio MIDI Setup>MIDI Studio Window? If so, open DP and then open Studio>Bundles. Make sure the Akai is visible under MIDI Devices. Then, make sure the MIDI i/o are ticked. This should get you in business. You really need to get https://www.snoize.com/midimonitor/ . It is invaluable in troubleshooting MIDI data flow through your studio.

Hey ! Thanks for the answer ! All that you have listed for me works and in general I can play. I would like to deal with the assignment of controllers .. Well, for example, to start assign physical faders to virtual instruments and transport buttons, etc. The MIDI Monitor program is also very useful to me. Thank you.

Gad to hear it! Actually, the assignment of controllers should be a snap. Depending on the VI, either R-click the parameter or hit the little "keyboard" icon (enable learn mode) at the bottom of the effects window. Warning: all VIs don't behave the same in this respect.
If you want to get into the weeds with transport control, you're on you own at this point, as I find DP rather idiosyncratic in this respect. Once again I don't know about the Akai, but DP performs generally well with MCU and HUI protocols.

I have the MPK88. The basic functions are all really straightforward. There's no Mackie setup so knobs and faders all send MIDI CC messages that you can reassign in the MPK itself or with a free Vysek (Soundquest really) editor. Most of the relevant information is online at Akais website, manuals, the editor etc.
The caveat: the transport won't work without some work on your part.
MOTU have yet to update DP's MMC protocol, it does not listen to MMC over USB, so the only way to get the transport to send messages that DP can read (MIDI notes in this case) is with a third party software call MidiPipe http://www.subtlesoft.square7.net/MidiPipe.html
Beyond that they're really nice devices.
