Just think, in the future we're gonna look back at OSX Catalina and say, "Those were the Salad Days"

For those so inclined, this looks like a good method to install Catalina on 5,1 and earlier Mac Pros.

As someone who supported (and helped build) an optimized Windows PC for a client when Windows 10
became prevalent, I can say this unequivocally ...no.
Supporting that setup was the WORST experience in my professional life.
The Uninstall and reinstall of drivers, ( 5 hours of figuring out that an old driver had to replace a "new"
updated driver, because the " new" driver wasn't at all compatible with the "newer" OS.
The punchline? The "old" driver dated back to Windows 98...weeeeeeeee.
I never thought Windows 98 would have solved my problem.
Is Windows far better then it once was, absolutely.
However when something does go wrong, OSX is far less painful to troubleshoot
(in my experience anyway) then Windows has been.
OSX has plenty of problems, but with Core Audio, Core MIDI, and the entire infrastructure
geared towards music and musicians, I'll take there "issues" over Windows any day.

I recall that with previous OS X version introductions, there was a site that listed audio application and plugins and whether they were compatible with the new OS X version. It was based on reports provided by users and created by someone with no particular affiliation.

I haven't come across a site like this for Catalina. All I get in a search is vendor specific messages, and checking the vendor for every one of several hundred plugins is not something I want to do, even if they give clear direction -- which a lot don't.

Has anyone seen a site like this for Catalina?
