DP 10 Marker bug - MOTU must face!

Post by MIDI Life Crisis »

... and I hope they will. I'm prepping a film score and added a bunch of markers. After the 33rd marker you cannot access the higher number markers as the window (in the control panel when Markers are selected) will not scroll down.

You can navigate to those markers via the Marker window, but it would be night if one could just click on the transport window and get the drop down.

Opening a techlink at MOTU.

I can confirm that this only happens when the text is "too large" and the entire list of entries is not visible. If the list doesn't fit completely in the dropdown from the Control Panel, it will not scroll past the last entry showing. Basically, where you run out of screen.

The text can get "too large" if you use the new cmd-+ or - zoom feature just implemented.

No big deal, I just expected that scrolling to the bottom of the dialogue would allow the rest of the entries to scroll, as is usual in most apps.

This from Tech support:
It's possible. When scald, [sic] the Markers drop down scales as well. But we added a search bar where you can type the Marker name in and you should regain access/placement.
Yeah, the search window solves the problem but I kind of like scrolling, especially if I can't remember the name of the marker in question but know roughly where it is in the project. Given the choice I'd rather just call up the Marker Window and get the full list ay any zoom level.

Kudos to MOTU Tech Support for a really fast turnaround on the Tech Link. I'm impressed.

Otherwise, DP10 is behaving well. Only one random crash so far. Pretty much running it 10-12 hours a day.
