Just received my first MOTU interface today and I'm trying to determine if I got a defective device. I'm not getting any audio signal when I set the sample rate to either 176.4 or 192khz ... Works great at every option below 96 .. I've tried in Ableton, Reason, consumer music apps (Originally determined the issue existed by trying to play a 192khz FLAC from Hdtracks in foobar2000.
I don't plan to record at those sample rates but definitely would like to see if I need to be preparing a package to send back to dealer.
Much appreciated if anyone has any idea.
system specs = Windows 10, 3770k i7, 16gb ram, using USB 3.0 port ...
Thanks.

Re: New MOTU Ultralite MK4 problem
edit: Just tried it on my Macbook Pro to the same disappointing result. Shame too, it'd be an ideal interface otherwise.
Guess I'll save for the next couple weeks and just buy an RME or higher end MOTU if I end up having to return it.

Re: New MOTU Ultralite MK4 problem
Hi there. I have an Ultralite AVB, and I had the same issue when I first got it. First, make sure you have the latest firmware and software installed (there was a recent update). Next, you have to make sure that in the routing tab that the main and phones L+R are connected to "From Computer USB" (From Computer 1 and 2 for both) and you should hear audio in those high sample rates.

If you selected Interface + mixing in the quick setup, it routes the main outputs through "Main Mix" and the phones through "Monitor" by default, and I believe in that case the sample rate is limited to 96khz. Just switch the routing back when you want to use the mixer for recording.

Thank you a million times over! .. It was a bit glitchy getting the phones L and R set just now, once I deselected the former setting, it wouldn't let me place the new routing at first. Took about a minute but finally the input was recognized. Definitely saving the preset now that this headache is overtoddbooster wrote:Hi there. Thanks so much. Turned a disappointment into a huge relief.
Have a goodnight!
