This one should make some people happy.

Fixed a bug preventing track folder hierarchies from being preserved when dragging a sequence from the chunks window into the tracks overview or sequence editor.

As will "Improved click stability in Countoff and Countoff-Wait modes." But because I haven't tried to use it in so long that I've forgotten what the problem was.

Of course, Check for Update Now shows that none are available. Again.

No biggie. Hoping it makes a little bug I found last night go away. Downloading away.

I wouldn't be surprised if MOTU delays triggering that notification until the initial burst of download activity slows.

9.51 and 9.52 now crash within a few minutes of opening. Before I installed 9.52, this was not happening. I have no plugins running. All I did was load a new project with soundbites ... but I did that last night in a 5 hour session where I imported and did rough edits.

I'm going to restore my system to a few hours ago (thank you APFS) so I can get some work done.

I let it overwrite 9.51 and saw no problems, although obviously, it hasn't gone through the paces yet.

I found the culprit. I was working on an .aiff file that had been giving me grief last night and that turned out to be the issue. I've seen corrupt audio files cause problems before but never this—usually they just don't load. And why it never crashed 9.51 before I installed 9.52??? Hell if I know. I'll just chalk it up to one of life's mysteries.

Anyway, I stripped and rebuilt the header in TwistedWave and it now behaved. DP 9.51 stopped crashing, also.

I could have used QT 7.6.6 Pro, DSP-Q or even iTunes (but that would have taken way too long) instead of TW to strip and rebuild the header. QT and iTunes can only do one file at a time while DSP-Q & TW can do 'em in batches.

I've been confused by the numbering too, for this and the previous update. My signature lists it the way it appears in some release notes, but Get Info says "9.52" vs. "9.5.2" and the same was true of "9.51" vs. "9.5.1".

I won't have time to work with it in depth for another week (annual family visit coming up), but did launch it on a "hard" project as a sanity check, with no problems so far.

Strangely, when I printed the release notes earlier today, there was nothing specific for 9.5.2 vs. 9.5.

Downloaded and installed. Opened current large mix file, Dp would only stutter. Terrible audio playback. Did a safe boot restart which cleans things up, tried again, no go. Only audio stutter. Buffers already maxed at 1024 so I even tried 512, no go. To me, 9.52 is a no go. I have to get back to work and have no time to debug. I will watch to see if anyone here similar has issues. I’m back to 8.07 for mixing large files, and 9.51 for MIDI mute work.

It seems reasonable to assume the new features and fixes would fall under a bold subheader.
In this case the 9.5.2 features are in a regular font underneath the bold font Relative pitch editing
Summary: The layout of the release notes needs to be reformatted for clarity.

Installed this new version over 9.5.1 and no issues noted so far. Will need to a large project this evening to how it perfrorns under pressure,
